Go inside and look at the innovations we implement to have our medicines and products in your nearest store.
Innovation is in our DNA, so in Genomma Lab, we transform and adapt. For example, in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic and all the changes that this event has brought about in the most everyday activities.
In this context, technology has acquired important social functionality, hence online sales or e-commerce have become an indispensable resource for people to purchase medicines and personal care products.
Therefore, by making use of technology we seek to bring over-the-counter drugs (OTC) into the neighborhood stores, which are often the main option for many people, which, whether for economic reasons or for health security reasons, they cannot go to a supermarket or pharmacy.
In your corner shop with our Partners program
Faced with the health contingency by COVID-19, we strengthen our Partners program, which provides training and financing to micro entrepreneurs in 28 of the main cities of Mexico.
In this way, sales groups are organizing to supply the traditional channel, mainly neighborhood stores, with products from our portfolio in smaller and cheaper presentations.
More than 500 vendors, they have been hired by these micro-entrepreneurs. Vendors were equipped with a motorcycle to supply orders optimally in these times of sanitary contingency.
Thus, it is possible to get products such as flu fighters, antivirals, cough syrups, paracetamol; disinfectant gels and soaps and personal care products such as shampoos and creams, among others.
With our Partners program, we currently serve 140,000 stores in populations of more than 800,000 inhabitants. In this way, we projected a growth of 80% during 2020 and we expect to generate more than 5,000 well-paid jobs with this modality during 2021.
GenOrder, the salespeople and shopkeepers app
In addition, during the coronavirus pandemic, in Mexico we activated our solidarity economy platform, called GenOrder. This app is available for IOS and Android mobile operating systems.
It allows you to contact people interested in distributing products from our portfolio in stores and small businesses, with the shopkeepers interested in receiving them.
GenOrder locates the entrepreneur dealer closest to the store, takes the order, delivers it and collects it. In this way, we also wanted small businesses to try the category of over-the-counter medicines (OTC), bringing them closer to people and that the sale of them is reflected in their income.
Thus, with these types of programs we innovate using technology and the principles of the circular economy to generate employment and entrepreneurship opportunities, while improving the supply of OTC drugs and personal care products in the traditional channel.
With this, at Genomma Lab we confirm our commitment to empower people to have excellent health and wellness, especially at this time when everyone’s efforts are required to overcome the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic.
